Six years ago, I decided I had to get off my couch. I was tired from working long days and would go home and veg out in front of the TV to decompress from the day. But after weeks on end of seeing my butt imprint on the cushions, I knew this wasn’t a pattern I wanted to continue to repeat. I got up and started walking. Within a few weeks, I strapped on sneakers for a kind of running I hadn’t done since high school.
In the last six years, I’ve come a long way. I do regular 5Ks and 10Ks and have even managed to complete two marathons, albeit quite slowly. Nevertheless, I persist (see what I did there?). Thanks for coming by to let me share my journey with you.
